STRIPE CONNECT ONBOARDING GUIDE
For promoters receiving PPV payouts through Data Fight Central
Key fact: DFC does NOT hold your funds. Stripe routes your share directly to your bank account at the moment of purchase.
How It Works
- You complete Stripe Express onboarding (5–10 minutes).
- Stripe verifies your identity (KYC) and bank details.
- When a fan buys PPV access to your event, Stripe automatically:
- Sends your share (e.g. 60%) to your connected account
- Retains DFC's commission (e.g. 40%) as application fee
- You see payouts in your Stripe dashboard within 2–7 business days.
Step-by-Step
Step 1: Click the onboarding link DFC sends you by email.
Step 2: Enter your business details — business name, ABN (Australian promoters), and address.
Step 3: Enter representative details — name, date of birth, government ID.
Step 4: Enter your bank account details for payouts.
Step 5: Agree to Stripe's terms of service.
Step 6: Submit — Stripe verifies within 1–2 business days. You'll receive a confirmation email.
Sandbox Testing (Before Live Event)
- DFC creates a test PaymentIntent using Stripe test mode.
- You see a test payout in your Stripe test dashboard.
- Confirm the amount matches the expected split.
- Report any issues to ops@datafightcentral.com.
Live Payment Flow
- Fan visits event PPV page on datafightcentral.com.
- Fan clicks "Buy PPV Access" and enters card details.
- Stripe creates a PaymentIntent with your connected account as destination.
- Stripe charges the fan and routes your share instantly.
- Stripe holds a short reserve (7–14 days) for chargebacks.
- Payout arrives in your bank account per your Stripe payout schedule.
Reporting
- DFC provides daily email reports during the event window.
- Final settlement report within 7 days of event.
- Full payout reconciliation within 30 days.
- View all transactions at dashboard.stripe.com.
Chargebacks & Disputes
- If a buyer disputes a charge, Stripe notifies both DFC and you.
- DFC responds to disputes using purchase evidence and DRM logs.
- If a chargeback is upheld, the amount is deducted from the reserve.
